Every Fortnight I send out an email to my subscribers with useful tips on Legal English, highlighting some specific words people often get confused by and showing you how to use them correctly in a legal context. Here are the first few.
Words of the Fortnight are a part of the Glossary where I explain the different ways a lawyer can come across a word or phrase. There are over 200 entries in the Glossary and if you buy a course, you have access to all of them.
* If you learnt American English you may not know this word as Americans hardly use it. By contrast, it’s very common in British English – it means “two weeks” and comes from “fourteen nights”.
